London Fashion Week

This is a classic example of why I love London:
The way that this guy pulls together the outfit perfectly, could you imagine it on anyone else?
Plus the fact that it was a chilly afternoon and I'm not sure weather the socks are a style statement or something to keep warm but I love it anyway!!!

Th Hottest Jacket in the world right now.

The Aviator shearling Jacket is soooo warm and cozy and looks incredible! Now I NEED something to get me through this London winter because everyone warns me that winter here is devastating & depressing. Making an invesment into something warm and lovely will hopefully help me reach the end. The obviouse choice for people with loads of Pounds is the one by Burburry:

The huge collar is AMAZING!

Leslie Irvin, a parachutist, was the first man to design this jacket in the 20's and this style keeps on coming back although I have never seen something this dramatic yet so wearable. I love how it feels almost like I am travelling back in time when I put one on, I feel like a pilot in war mode ready to fight the winter.

Theres one at Zara which is a cheaper (not half as extravagent) but I still find that it is quite pricey for what it is. Although I've never needed anything with such warmth before because Australia isn't really that cold so I suppose I'll have to suck it up and spend big on this one!

Saphire@Bristol

Saphire

All leopard, all gay goodness. Bristol  is a place 2 hours west of London where charity shops rule and the crowd lets loose! So I decided to catch a coach out there to see it for myself.
I was not dissapointed! Thats for sure. Every second shop seemed to be an op shop and the town even had a free shop where I picked up a sheer lilac piece of fabric to make into a cape or skirt laters.
Sipping coffee at a local cafe, this piece of work came walking past and changed my perspective on Leopard. He does this ripped denim, print and siren red look with complete confidence - almost like he was born to wear those things.
I found out later by asking around town that his name is SAPHIRE! and he has bonfires at his luxuriously vintage decorated home every weekend. He helps out most of the vintage stores around town so I can only image he would own the cream of the crop and have an immaculate collection!

A gentleman from Oxford street

I found this gorgeous chap on Oxford street sipping his Nero coffee. What I love about him is the fact that he mastering this modern take on Italian style with a real - Mr cheeky, nice guy attitude. The swiped back, no fuss hair is what gets me everytime I look at this photo (apart from those incredibly sexy mid rise pants!!!). In my opinion there is only two hairstyles for guys (which are worth getting), and this is one of them. Jude law is such a good example of this one! The other obvcourse is long, shiny (unfortunately most boys think shininess and oilyness are one of the same) tressles that hang down past the shoulders. Use your imaginatinon for this one and think a total rocker who wears spikes off his boots and black black black with dark features.
Actually no need to imagine - heres a picture of Trevene:

How strange that a boy is one of my first posts! In Australia I never even glanced at men because usually they use skinny jeans and hoodies as an excuse to be 'cool & trendy' when in actual fact all the boys look like they have come out of a production plant called 'general pants' and OH how general they do look! But here in London fashion is not limited to what is on the high street and style just oozes out of the genlemen of London so naturally!

Walk the streets Style Edition no. 1

The London Swagger is me (Emma Wood) on my journey all the way from Bondi, Australia over to London to get inspired, get some amazing clothes and experience the world of London fashion. As Gisele (you know her - the supermodel) said in this months issue of LOVE magazine "Ninety percent of the power people in fashion are British".

So it all starts somewhere I guess, but for me it started back in Australia when my parents were too poor (or too stingy) to buy me new clothes so I would go to the local op shops (you call them charity stores) and started sifting through the stinky mess untill I found old vintage pieces which I chopped and changed into my own creations.

After moving to the big smoke (Sydney) to pursue a modelling career I somehow lost my passion for second hand clothes and my desire to op-shop was soon replaced by the push to buy shiny new, structured, clean pieces from the real deal shops.

Well, good ol' Em is back and she's in London Town hunting down the best bargains and the dirtiest drag! Rummage through your dressups to go downtown to tescos and I'll see you there, take your picture, get inspired and find ways to discover the nitty gritty of style on the streets.

(Don't worry though - I'll always have a thing for labels too)

Love you all!!
